With guidance from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR), the City Council has developed a Turkey Management Plan in hopes of addressing public safety concerns and community nuisance issues. This Plan was reviewed and approved at the Sept. 13, 2021 Parks and Environmental Commission meeting; final approval was given at the Sept. 28, 2021 City Council Meeting.
The goal of the plan is to manage two primary concern areas in regards to the wild turkey population: public safety and property damage. If you are experiencing these issues, residents are asked to take the first step of managing the nuisance by altering the habitat on their property. Learn more.
